Flying Dragons in Dragon Oath

ChangYou.com (US) Inc. has sent us out some information on probably the most impressive aspect of their first expansion to Dragon Oath. As the name of the game implies Dragons are an important aspect of Dragon Oath. In the Age of Destiny expansion, players will have a chance to receive a flying dragon mount.

The mount is a legendary dragon which goes by the name of Bladewind. This giant mount fills up a large portion of the screen and creates a dust storm behind it as it tears through the sky.

For those lucky enough to own it, Bladewind will give players several advantages. The mount increases players' movement speed by 70% and it also allows them to carry a passenger along with them. This mount does not cost players anything to receive. It is either earned by participating in the Master and Apprentice system and collecting the rare materials needed to summon the dragon, or won by those who participate and win in the Lucky Bingo event that is held daily.

Golden Treasure in Wonderland Online

With the recent release of Version 5.0 to Wonderland Online a new map has been introduced for players to explore. The new map is of Rome and it gives players the opportunity to travel amongst the architecture and culture of ancient Rome. There are many things to discover including a new quest entitled the Golden Treasure.

The Golden Treasure quest will see players entering a cave which contains a randomly generated maze. Once they enter players will have no choice but to navigate this tricky labyrinth because the entrance to the instance will also disappear. Players will be rewarded with amazing treasure for completing this challenging quest.

IGG passed along some tips for defeating the Golden Treasure quest;

Theoretically, with the proper strategy, challengers have a good chance of completing the quest. Challenging the twists and turns will always prove difficult, but the WLO team came up with this strategy: when you come to a crossing, turn to the left first and then go up (turn right), at the next crossing turn left 3 times, and then up again. They say that this strategy has had the best success in finding the Golden Treasure - but they do admit that a few of their testers are still wandering around out there somewhere, so it's not guaranteed. What they know for sure is that, whether you find the treasure or not, you're definitely going to have some fun!

4Story Valentine's Day Events

Free to play, fantasy MMORPG 4Story, developed and published by Zemi Interactive have announced their Valentine's Day events which will get underway starting Tuesday, February 9th.

Here are the details on the events;

The ingredient of chocolate, will be dropped from all the monsters in Iveria. Collect and you can manufacture and through "Chocolate Craft Man". The event items will get you special recover/buff effects! If you gift your chocolates to “Shy Lady” in the starting village, you can encourage her to confess to her love. Sweets, Sweethearts and Sorcery in Dragonica Online

THQ*ICE has a lot of content and events in store for Dragonica Online players this February with the addition of a new lower level dungeon, the Temple of Water, Valentine's Day events and new Specialty Cash Shop Items.

Here is a sampling of some of what is in store for February in Dragonica Online;

CONTENT UPDATE:

• Temple of Water: Heroes are needed to show their brains and bravery to help the Water Guardian bring peace and purity to the temple that has been polluted by a contaminant.

No Love in Zu Online This February

We haven't had many opportunities to discuss Zu Online but IGG.com has informed us of the game's PvP tournament which will be taking place during the month of February. In this event the immortal heroes of Zu Online will battle it out in the Zu Mountains to receive the crown of the Overlord. The event is called "The Legend of Heroes -The Way to be the Overlord I" and will the run the whole month.

Here are details on the event;

The event is run on an instant knock out basis. The event consists of two parts--preliminaries and finals. 32 qualifiers will be selected to qualify for the finals from the preliminaries. The prelimaries will last 8 days and 4 participants will be selected each day based on the Honor Kill rankings to move on to the finals. All Zu players can take part in the PvP event, which should make the preliminaries one crazy ride!

For those that manage to last into the finals, they will be fighting for more than just bragging rights. The top 5 players will be getting some cool prizes, but the real treasure goes to the final champion, who will be walking away with a Fiery Phoenix egg and their very own column in the forum. Magic World Online, New Server, $50 Item Prizes

Ingle Games has announced that due to to an increasing player base they will be opening a new server for Magic World Online. The new server, named Eclipse is set to open on February 8th at 7PM (PST).

They have also announced that every player will now receive an Item Prize, which they say is worth 50 dollars (US). New players can claim a set of equipment and "precious" items from NPCs at level 1, 20, 32, 45, 55 and level 60 and all of these prizes have a combined value of fifty dollars.

Magic World Online will also be hosting a "Tie Your Love Knot" event to mark Valentine's Day. Here are the details for this event;

As the rumor goes in the Magic Land, the Lover Rings are created by the Gods and only couples with true love would be able to find and wear them. Avalon Heroes OBT Concludes, Launch Expected Feb 9

Online game publisher burda:ic has announced the close of the open beta for the RTS-RPG hybrid MMO Avalon Heroes. They report that over the last three weeks thousands of players took part in the games challenges as well as competed in the first two cups for the Electronic Sports League (ESL) and that the beta was a complete success.

With the close of the beta there is nothing standing in way of the game's launch date which is expected to be February 9th. Players will get to battle horrifying monsters and establish powerful guilds as they set out on their journey to become heroes.

With the game's full launch a number of new features are set to be added including; six more heroes, a new battle mode map, the fourth chapter of the game's scenario mode and two additional maps for the adventure mode.

More Details Released for Last Online

Developer Eden Entertainment has released more information on their upcoming free to play MMORPG Last Online which is set to enter closed beta in Europe and North America in the first half of 2010 by Gamigo AG.

This storyline of this action MMORPG is set in modern Europe during the Mana Revolution, which is similar in the social upheaval as the Industrial Revolution was. It is the story of heroes who fight against "Another World". These heroes come from a variety of tribes and have a variety of occupations.

Eden Entertainment believes that Last Online sets itself apart from other online MMOs by utilizing unprecedented techniques in online games with its variety of camera movements and non targeting combat systems. Eden Entertainment has developed a proprietary game engine specifically developed for the game. Last Online will feature diverse battle modes ranging from PvP, PvE, 100 vs. 100, Guild battles and castle sieges. Players will be able to change weapons from short range to long range simultaneously.

Zodiac Online Open Beta, Feb 10

The closed beta for turn-based MMORPG Zodiac Online is coming to an end and a date for the open beta has been set. February 10th will mark the launch of the game's open beta, just in time for Valentine's Day.

Free to play, Zodiac Online is suitable for people of any age. The game's storyline is full of Chinese cultural elements, including the 12 Zodiac signs the game is named for. Players assume the role of Zodiac envoys sent to the human world by the Jade Emperor, the Lord of Heaven, to battle against invading demons.

Zodiac Online features colorful and cute graphics and players can enjoy a relaxed pace to the game as the combat systems in Zodiac Online are turn-based. @Global Games Launches in Southeast Asia, Requiem: Alive Flagship Title
