We received some gorgeous artwork showcasing the monk class in Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited last week and we've been searching for a way to show it to you along with some actual content and news from the game.
Today, we finally have some DDO:EU news to pass along to you. First off the winners from the "Broctober" video contest promotion have been named and you can read all about it at the Broccoli blog at MyDDO.com.
Also in DDO:EU news, is a guide that was posted yesterday on the Reincarnation process that is available to level 20 characters. When a player reaches level 20 they have the option to "start over" as a level one character but they get to retain some characteristics and items from their "past life".
In order to do this the level 20 first needs to acquire a True Druidic Heart of Wood which can be bought in the DDO Store or received from Misty, an apprentice at the Tower of the Twelve in exchange for 20 epic dungeon tokens. When the player reincarnates they will;
- Begin again at level 1, and it will take more experience to increase your levels.
- The reincarnation process is not reversible.
- All of your personal inventory and bank inventory will be placed in a Reincarnation Cache. To access the cache you must visit a banker.
- You will not be able to follow a pre-created character path when reincarnating. You must fully customize the character in your new life.
- You will retain no favor, quest progress, raid flags, level sigils, tome bonuses, exclusive hair changes, or per-character favor rewards/favor vendors. You will, however, retain your mail, auctions, server-wide, and account-wide features.
- Veteran status is not compatible with True Reincarnation. All characters that are True Reincarnated begin at level 1.
The player will also gain extra ability points, they will have access to feats they accomplished in a past life, they will gain special characteristics in; increased height, a special reincarnation symbol on the character's name and a glowing aura any time they appear in a public space. There are more details and they can be read at the guide link listed above.
Finally the screenshots. Last week we received some excellent images highlighting the monk class and we've been really looking forward to showing them to you. We have some here and will have more at the MMORPGf2p.com Facebook page shortly.
